Hi my little cutie-patootie!
This is going to be a fun post and I’m really excited about writing it. Want to know why? It’s because it’s about how much this family loves animals!! Yay!!!
Seriously though, we have a problem. Every single member of this family is so in love with our pets it’s ridiculous. Just to get this post started, let me create a list-
Cute little furry pets that are part of the Roscioli/Johnson Families:
Aaron & Kristyn: a chiweenie pup (Arya Pepper) and three cats (Dilly, Gray and Mittens)
Grandma & Grandpa Johnson: two huskies (Kodi and Denali) and two cats (Daisy and Smudge)
Grandma & Grandpa Donisi: three pups (Sadie, Cody and Grady Wilson)
Grandma & Grandpa Schaible: two pups (Teddy and Bobby)
Uncle Eddie & Jen: a porkie pup (Crosby)
Uncle Danny & Krista: a morkie pup (Ender)
Uncle Corey & Aunt Lauryn: a pug (Hailey Bean), a kitty (Olive) and a chinchilla (Carlos)
What can I say, this family loves their pets! There are a couple of good stories as to how these loveable little creatures came about and I thought it would be fun to share them.
Kodi and Denali started out as Aaron and Eddie’s pets. Aaron went and picked out Denali and he says it was his beautiful blue eyes that got him. At the time he was in college and apparently he bit off more than he could chew because after a while it was decided that was better for Denali that he stay with Grandma and Grandpa Johnson. The same happened for Eddie and Kodi. I don’t think it took much convincing by Eddie and Aaron because now those huskies are spoiled rotten by your Grandpa Johnson.
Teddy and Cody are brothers and so are Bobby and Grady Wilson. I don’t know who is making the decisions here but it seems that every time your Grandma and Grandpa Donisi get a puppy so does your Grandma and Grandpa Schaible 😉
Honestly, I cannot tell you how I ended up with three cats, but I love them with all my heart and they really do provide a lot of entertainment for your Dad and I. We even built cat stairs in our house out of shelves so they can easily reach the high places they love so much. The story of Arya Pepper is a good one: Before your Dad and I got engaged we went out to an apple orchard to pick apples. At the time your Dad was into making his own cider and he wanted fresh apples. We had a great time and we were on our way home when I noticed two little black ears pop out on the side of the road. I stopped the car and told your dad I would not drive any further until he got out and got the puppy. Although he didn’t want to, he listened and when he picked Pepper up she just melted in his arms. She appeared to have been out there for a long time (she was very thin and dirty). We searched for her owner but couldn’t find one and in the time that I was “searching” for a home for her I fell in love with her- that was that. We had a new puppy to care for. I think it’s safe to say that we love her very much and are happy she decided to join our little family. I look forward to getting home from work every day just to see her.
You’ll learn pretty quickly that this family is a bunch of animal lovers. We all have our own cute little nicknames for our pets and basically these animals are part of the family- yep, furry little humans with four legs. I sure hope that you love cats and dogs as much as we do! I’ll end this post with some pictures that I have of our little loved ones but before I do I wanted to say that I hope and pray for you every single day. These pets bring so much happiness and joy to our homes and I know for a fact that a baby will bring even more joy, the day I find out you are on your way to us will be the happiest day of my life. And I can’t wait.
